Day Wise Schedule:
Day 1 (13.12.2024) : Reporting at Karmasadhan Alappuzha (Convent Square, Sea View Ward, Alappuzha, Kerala 688001) 5 PM Orientation and Acclimatization / Training.
Day 2.(14.12.2024): 11.00 AM to 5 P.M )Backwaters cruises Alappuzha
A cruise from Alappuzha through these backwaters tantalizes you with its breathtaking serenity to remain as the most beautiful reminiscences of your life.The cruise takes you through the clear waters of the prominent Punnamada Lake – the venue of the legendary Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race.

9.00 AM Visit ‘Pathiramanal’ means ‘Sands of Night’. Estimates say that the area has 91 local species of birds and 50 migratory birds. One can see Pintail Ducks, Common Teal, Night Heron, Cormorant, Darter, Indian Shag, Purple Heron, Cattle Egret, Indian Pond Heron, Little Egret, Bronze-winged Jacanas, Stork-billed Kingfisher, Whistling Duck, Cotton Pygmy-Goose, Little Cormorant and Whiskered Tern 12.30 PM “Visit Kumarakam” Kumarakam is an unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. How To Join: YHAI Members desirous of joining the programme may apply online through YHAI website www.yhaindia.org or by the prescribed registration from along with a DD of requisite amount in favour of “Youth Hostels Association of India Kerala State Branch” payable at CANARA BANK, PONNANI ,MALAPPURAM DISTRICT , KERALA STATE or ONLINE payment to State Branch Account (A/c No 0756101040595 Branch Code 756 IFSC Code CNRB0000756 CANARA BANK PONNANI MALAPPURAM) . The application along with medical fitness certificate, Copy of ID Card and a photograph should be send to Mr. J. Who Can Participate: Any YHAI member above the age of 15 years can participate on first cum first serve basis.

What Participants Should Bring Along: Pants / Jeans, Shoulder Bag , Torch with extra batteries, Soap, Towel, Mug, Lunch Box, Glass, Water Bottle, Umbrella and Camera (Optional)
 
Safety & Security: Our field volunteers and camp leaders have been visited the area and check the details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities
 
Additional Notes:

Use of alcohol and narcotics of any description and smoking are strictly prohibited during the programme. Deviation from the set rout of the programme is not permitted. If participants desire to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the programme and check out.
 
Cancellation Rules:
In case you are unable to join the programme after paying participation fee, you will get Rs6250/-as refund provided your request is received at least 10 days in advance from the date of your reporting. No refund will, however, be admissible if such notice is short of 10 days.
