The purpose of the programme is to offer the youth new trekking region in the Kodaikanal –Vellakavi- Kumbakarai Falls -Kurangani-Central Station-Top Station-Munnar Hills


Program

Breif Description Of The Program : The purpose of the programme is to offer the youth new trekking region in the Kodaikanal –Vellakavi- Kumbakarai Falls -Kurangani-Central Station-Top Station-Munnar Hills
 
Day wise Schedule:
Day 1 : Reporting at base camp Kodaikanal at 2:30 pm and Training/Acclimatization
Day 2 : Trek to Vellakavi (9 Km)
Day 3 : Trek to Vattakanal (10 Km)-Transfer by Van to Kurangani(70KM)
Day 4 : Trek to Top Station via Central Station
Day 5 : Trek inside Top Station (10km) – Transfer by Jeep to Munnar Devikulam (Sight Seeing – Top Station View Point, Madupatty Dam, Kundal Dam, Echo point,Shooting Spot, Elephant Park, Tea Museum, Rosegarden, Etc. { participants have to pay all sightseeing entry fees} followed by Certificate Distribution and Recreation activity
Day 6 : Disperse at Munnar Devikulam after Breakfast.
The programme will disperse at Munnar Devikulam only.(Extra Luggage will be handover to Participants at Munnar).

Accommodation Facilities : Tented accommodation.
Food & Water Supplies : Simple vegetarian and nutritious food will be served
 
What participants should bring along : Cotton Shirts, Cotton Pants, bedsheet, sweater, shoes, sun-cap, raincoat, two pairs of socks, torch, water bottle, lunch box, mug, plate, tumbler, cold cream and a first-aid kit.
 
Safety & Security : While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any theft, accident, illness and other such unforeseen eventualities.
 
Cancellation Policy : (For Online) In case you are unable to join this trek, you will get a refund of 50% of your fees amount (except online charges) provided when your request is received at least 20 days in advance from the programme Starting date.
(For Offline) In case you are unable to join this programme, you will get 50% of the programme fee as refund provided your request is received directly at the State Office, at least 20 days in advance from the programme Starting date. Any unforeseen event/strike or natural calamity will not be considered as a cause of cancellation. Email, SMS, telephone call will not be accepted.
