Schedule Of Programme :
Day 1 : Reporting at Base Camp Before 5 PM (6700 ft.) Training/Acclimatization/ 7 Pm Orientation
Day 2 : Transfer to Chittrey or Dhotrey (8500 ft.) by Jeep. Trek to Tumling (10000 ft.) 7 KM
Day 3 : Trek to Kalipokhri (10196 ft.) 13 KM
Day 4 : Trek to Sandakphu (11941 ft ) 6 KM
Day 5 : Trek to Sirikhola (7498 ft .) via Gurdum (7522 ft) 18 KM (fully descending) From Sirikhola Sharing Taxi to Rimbick Certificate Distribution and Recreation Activity followed by Dinner. Extra Luggage Will be given at Rimbick
Day 6 : Checkout After Breakfast in Rimbick (Arrange your Travel accordingly)
Note: Participants are requested to report at base camp by before 5 p.m.

Mandatory: Trekking Medical Certificate will be compulsory at the time of reporting only (with 30 days of validity ) duly signed by registered Medical Practitioner (MBBS / MD only) along with his registration no. and stamp.

How To Reach :
The Base Camp is at International Youth Hostels Darjeeling, Chota Kakjhora, Near New Taxi Stand, 500mtr away only. Before Darjeeling Railway Station, Darjeeling is easily accessible from any part of India by Air, Rail or Road,
The Railway Station is New Jalpaiguri (73 kms / 3 hours)
Airport at Bagdogra (70 kms / 2.5 hours) being
From there avail Bus/Jeep/Taxi services to reach International Youth Hostel, Darjeeling.
What Participants Should Bring Along : Rucksack, Cotton Shirt and Pants, Woolen Jersey and Wind Cheater, Jacket, Inner Garments, Two pair thick woolen socks and two pair cotton socks, Trekking shoe and chappal, Woolen gloves and Monkey cap, Light Rain Coat, Sun Cap, Towel, Sun Glass, Torch, Water Bottle and water purifier, Plate, Mug and Spoon, Packed Lunch Box, Needle and thread with spare Buttons, Toilet papers, Walking Sticks, Vaseline, Soap, Pen and Note Book, Medicine which you normally use at home. Optional: Camera, Musical Instruments.
Food & Supplies : YHAI provides nutritious, vegetarian and good quality meals which includes Morning tea, breakfast, packed lunch, evening tea (in the camp), dinner and after dinner tea/coffee/Bournvita, shall be provided. Please bring your own plates, mugs, spoons etc.
Accommodation Facilities : Sharing Basic Dorm Accommodation.
Notice to Participants :
1. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program.
2. Stay other than YHAI Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.
3. This is an environment-friendly trek. Do no litter any wrappers or spoil the trial in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag, water bottle or anything left by trekkers on the way, please carry the same with you and deposit at the base camp.
4. Burning of wood during camp fire is strictly prohibited. Import of any bio Non- degradable Material in West Bengal is an offence
Safety & Security :
Extensive and painstaking preparations have done into the planning of routes for your safety. Our Field Staffs have been visiting the area to check all in details, every care has been taken to ensure safety. Youth Hostels Association of India West Bengal State Branch Can Not Be Held Responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen casualties. If Participants desire to join and other activities they may do so at their own cost and responsibility and only after finishing the program and checking out.
Special Casual leave : The Trekking Expedition organized by Youth Hostels Association of India have the approval of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Dept. of Personnel And Training), Government of India, vide Office Order no. 28016/3/89-Estt (A), Dated 25 October, 1989. Participants working in the Central Govt. Organization can apply to the authorities concerned for availing special casual leave for the duration of the expedition. This leave can be sanctioned by their office up to 30 days in calendar year.
